Chipotle Nutrition Calculator is built around a simple standard: nutrition information should be traceable to official sources and independently verifiable. When an authoritative value is unavailable, we do not fabricate it.
Who Is Responsible for the Site?
The site is created and maintained by Muhammad Kamran Latif, Founder & Data Editor. The site does not claim that its publisher is a registered dietitian, nutritionist, physician, or other medical professional. Our trust model is verifiability, not credentials: every nutrition claim should be checkable against its source.
Primary Purpose
Our content exists to help visitors understand restaurant nutrition information, compare ingredients, and calculate customizable meals more easily.
We do not create pages by rewriting competitor articles or generating large numbers of near-duplicate keyword pages. A supporting page should have a distinct user purpose — a different meal structure, a specific nutrition reference task, a meaningful ingredient comparison, a goal-focused analysis, or an interactive calculator state that materially changes the user’s task.
Source Priority
For nutrition values, we prioritize:
- Current official Chipotle U.S. nutrition and menu information, where available.
- Archived or previously reviewed first-party Chipotle nutrition materials, when documenting a historical record.
- Derived values, only when the derivation is transparent and based on verified component values or a first-party published total.
Third-party nutrition databases and competitor websites are never used to silently replace missing first-party values in the production dataset. Competitor sites may be studied for search intent and usability, but they are not treated as a source of truth for nutrition values.
Dataset-First Publishing
Where practical, supporting articles use dynamic widgets connected to the same production dataset as the calculator. This reduces the risk of an article displaying one nutrition value while the calculator displays another. When a manually written number is necessary, it is checked against the current production dataset before publication and rechecked whenever the relevant dataset row changes.
Missing Values Are Not Zero
If a reviewed source does not establish a nutrient value, the value remains unavailable. The calculator and nutrition tables distinguish a verified 0 from an unavailable value, so unknown data can never accidentally qualify as a low-nutrient choice in filters or rankings.
Derived Values and Source Conflicts
Derived values are identified as derived rather than presented as direct restaurant-published rows. When first-party sources conflict, the conflict is documented and resolved conservatively for the site’s U.S.-focused context rather than hidden.
Current, Limited-Time, and Historical Items
Menu availability and nutrition provenance are treated as separate questions. Current and current limited-time records can appear in current calculator surfaces. Historical records may be retained for source traceability without being presented as currently orderable.
Estimates and Portion Variability
We distinguish between published serving values, the calculator’s portion rules, and an actual prepared restaurant serving. Calculator totals are estimates, not medically exact measurements.
How We Describe Nutrition Goals
Nutrition goals are planning aids, not prescriptions.
- Weight Loss is calorie-aware meal guidance. It is not a promise of weight loss and does not calculate an individualized calorie deficit.
- Low Sodium highlights comparatively lower-sodium choices using available published values. It does not determine whether a meal meets an individual’s medical sodium restriction.
For allergies, medical conditions, strict dietary restrictions, or final nutrition decisions, use current official restaurant information and appropriate professional guidance.
AI-Assisted Writing and Software Tools
We may use software tools, including AI-assisted drafting, editing, organization, or research support, as part of our content workflow. AI-generated output is never treated as the authority for nutrition values — published nutrition claims are checked against our production dataset and source materials. Human review decides page purpose, structure, claims, sources, and final publication.
Independence and Conflicts
Chipotle Nutrition Calculator is an independent informational tool. It is not operated by, sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc.
If the site later accepts sponsorships, affiliate relationships, or paid placements, those relationships will be disclosed — and they will not control the production nutrition dataset.
Corrections and Accountability
If you believe a value or menu status is wrong, see Corrections & Nutrition Data Issues or email contact@chipnutcalculator.com. A reported number is not changed simply because another independent website shows a different value — corrections are verified against official sources first. Meaningful verified changes are summarized in the Changelog.
Update Dates
A “last reviewed” or “last updated” date changes only when a page’s data, methodology, or substantive content has actually been reviewed or updated. Dates are never changed merely to make content appear fresh.
