Corrections & Nutrition Data Issues

Accuracy matters to this project. If you find a nutrition value, serving size, menu status, or calculator result that appears inconsistent with a current official source, please report it so it can be reviewed.

Report a Nutrition Data Issue

Who Reviews Corrections?

Reports are reviewed by Muhammad Kamran Latif, Founder & Data Editor. A reported number is not changed simply because another independent website shows a different value. The review looks for first-party Chipotle evidence, serving-size/context differences, source dates, and whether a value is genuinely zero, derived, conflicting, or unavailable.

What to Include in a Report

Please provide as much of the following as possible:

  • ingredient or menu item name,
  • the value you believe may be incorrect,
  • the value currently shown on this site,
  • the source you are comparing it with,
  • the source URL or screenshot if available,
  • the date you checked the source,
  • and the calculator page or build where you noticed the issue.

How Corrections Are Reviewed

A reported value should not be changed only because another independent website shows a different number.

The review process should prioritize:

  1. current official U.S. Chipotle nutrition information,
  2. the project’s archived/reviewed official source captures,
  3. serving-size and meal-context differences,
  4. whether a nutrient is genuinely zero or simply unavailable in the reviewed source.

If the official source supports a correction, the preferred workflow is to update the production dataset first, then recheck the calculator and any article widgets that use that data.

Missing Data vs Zero

A missing or unavailable nutrient value is not the same as 0.

If a reviewed source does not expose a nutrient, this project should display it as unavailable and exclude it from rankings or filters that would incorrectly treat it as a confirmed zero.

Correction History

Meaningful verified data corrections are recorded in the public Changelog with the review date and a brief description of what changed.

September 2026: unavailable nutrient placeholders were separated from verified zero values, newer records received field-level source verification, and current-menu status was synchronized so Pollo Asado and Chili Lime Chips are current limited-time items while Honey Chicken is retained only as historical provenance.
